Public employees should be forbidden from politicking like this. I agree. When government lobbies government, by definition it departs from "by the people for the people".
ANY time it lobbies for anything, it is pitting its will against that of the people it purports to serve.

I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.
