President confers Nishan-i-Imtiaz on Saudi General Abdul Aziz [Airforce cooperation between the two]

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf conferred the award of Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) on General Abdul Aziz Bin Mohamed, Commander Royal Saudi Air Force at a special investiture ceremony held here Wednesday.

The award was conferred on General Abdul Aziz in recognition of his consistent and valuable contributions for promoting goodwill and understanding between the Air Forces of the two countries. General Abdul Aziz a reputed military commander and distinguished aviator has played a significant role in promoting and strengthening the bonds of interaction and cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Air Force.

The ceremony was attended by Federal Ministers, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Services Chiefs, senior civil and military officers and other distinguished guests.

Earlier, General Abdul Aziz called on the President General Pervez Musharraf. During the call, President recalled the traditionally cordial and fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and lauded the services of Saudi Air Force Commander in giving a meaningful and purposeful orientation to these relations.

General Abdul Aziz thanked the Government of Pakistan for conferring on him a prestigious military award and expressed his resolve for further strengthening the excellent relations between the Air Force of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

An Israeli forum also adds that the two discussed expanding ties between the two armies and also discussed different Saudi proposals such as a "Nuclear Umbrella" with Pakistan and also the possibility Pakistani planes would be stationed in Saudi Arabia during an emergency situation or during an Indian attack.

Pak planes in Saudia? Oh great! India would wipe out the Pakis and Saudis in a week at most. Dreams do come true.
