What happened to diet, exercise and self-control? I am sure there are many who need additional assistance in their battle against the bulge, but i am certain it is not 65% of the population. I love the research, and i am sure it will accrue vital medical benefits in several areas, however when viewed from a weight-loss perspective it only reminds me of those late night infomercials touting uber pills that will cause someone to lose weight 'without having to exercise or diet.' Yeah, the pills that are supposed to be only for 'serious people who really want to lose weight.'

Popping pills will change to injecting hormones. And gyms, walk parks, and the part of a person that is utilized for self-control remain either underused or totally devoid of any activity.

An aside: I remember seeing this overweight lady (and i don't mean plump) slab several pizzas on a plate at this buffet spot, and then grab a glass of diet soda. Now, she may have chosen the diet soda for its taste, but i doubt it. Makes me wonder.
