In the early 70's???

And you survived????

Whoa.

I'm impressed.:)

I left! THAT'S how I survived. People think I'm nuts for living in CA? Heck, Madison had, per capita, more liberals than CA...(in my NEVER so humble opinion).

Now, being YOUNG then....I will say that it was a fun place to be.

I still think you're nuts for living in Kalifornia, but you're right; there's more lieberals in Madistan per capita than anyplace (with the possible exception of Berkley).

Remember, I'm not in a liberal area. I don't think I could've raised my kids here if that had been the case.

You can NOT beat the weather. We bought our house a long time ago so the housing costs aren't affecting me. Gramps works across the hall from the bedroom, so his commuting costs are pretty small...

So...lots of this, OTHER THAN THE LIBERALS IN THE STATE SENATE AND THE STUPID JUDGES!!!!!!......doesn't affect me.

Can't beat too much of that (though I don't know what I'd do with good weather 12 months of the year :-)

Housing costs do affect property taxes, though I shouldn't be talking too much; Wisconsin's property taxes are sky-high to go along with high income and gas taxes.

We've got a lieberal governor, a lieberal attorney general to whom the laws don't apply, Russ (Slimeroad) Feingold (though we're working him over this year), and no concealed carry. Other than that and the taxes, I can live with Wisconsin.

That's the squirrels around here after they get done with my bird feeders :-)

Oh well; time for a fish fry. If I don't make it back, see everybody tomorrow.

South suburban Milwaukee (Oak Creek). We managed to shed, in the course of 2 years, our lieberal Congresscritter (thank you, redistricting), our lieberal and corrupt county executive (thank you, recall), our lieberal county supervisor (though she's trying again after getting recalled); and we switched the party of half our Madistan representation to Pubbie (thank you, special election). We'll be working on the other half of that representation (a guy who once was like Zell Miller but turned into just another DemonRAT when he moved from the Assembly to the Senate and decided our property taxes weren't high enough and marriage wasn't worth defending) next month (when he's eligible to be recalled without having a chance of winning in court).
