US Promises to Punish Those Responsible for Gruesome Iraq Attacks
The top U.S. official in Iraq says Wednesday's gruesome attacks on four American civilians whose burned bodies were put on display in the town of Fallujah will not go unpunished.
"It's going to be deliberate, it will be precise and it will be overwhelming," U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said, speaking to reporters in Baghdad. He warned insurgents in the town of Fallujah to be prepared for U.S. forces to strike back following Wednesday's killing of four American contractors by a frenzied mob that dragged their charred bodies through the streets.
Televised footage of the act has provoked outrage from Americans in the United States and led U.S. administrator in Baghdad Paul Bremer to issue a warning.
"Their deaths will not go unpunished," he promised.
The White House blamed the attacks on supporters of Saddam Hussein. The remains of the four were to be turned over to the U.S. military.
A day after the attack, three American soldiers were injured in another attack near Fallujah, this time when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.

We can add this one to that list of unusual happenings....
Miami airport checkpoint closed after security officers get ill
A security checkpoint at Miami International Airport was shut down Saturday when six federal workers became ill, officials said.
The six Transportation Security Administration employees complained of vomiting Saturday afternoon, but only two were transported to a hospital, said TSA spokeswoman Lauren Stover. Their names were not released.
The checkpoint remained closed late Saturday, and Miami-Dade County fire rescue was to perform air quality tests before it could be reopened.
Flights were not affected, but hundreds of passengers were diverted to another checkpoint. American Airlines, which uses Concourse D, reported no flight delays.
It is the FOURTH TIME a concourse has been closed after security screeners became sick at Miami's airport in recent months. On April 7, 36 TSA employees were taken to hospitals after a strange odor caused some of them to suffer eye irritations and nausea.
http://www.arkansasnbc.com/Global/story.asp?S=1812466 Let's also remember the deaths aboard planes from Miami to Europe about 4-5 months ago.

I was up in the wee hours and saw the posts about the BOLO in CA. Here is a cut and copy from our Yahoo board of the original post:
From: "gemcohauler"
Date: Mon Apr 26, 2004 12:43 am
Subject: CHP looking for 5 tractor trailers
a broadcast came on the frequencies saying Department of Homeland
Security was issuing a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) for five tractor
trailers heading southbound on I5 from the Pacific Northwest. Three
had British Columbia plates, and one had Arizona plates. The five
were traveling together, and making stops at truck stops together.
The drivers were speaking arabic to each other, and each would take
a metal box with them into the truck stop whenever they left the
truck.
They were in the Coalinga area around 730pm. I was going to post
this to the CA topic, but the site was down.""

So many unusual things happening these days that it's hard to keep up.

Bumping BOLO post.
Thank you!

Just on Fox, Zarqawi is taking credit for the explosions in Basra. I think Sean said he was hiding out in Iran which would make sense to me. I think that area is only accessible from Iran.
Here's a map.....Not the greatest but you can see how close Iran is.

Sean says Zarqawi is dead.
???
"Conferencing among Northeast Intelligence Network analysts took place in response to these findings and it was unanimously agreed that based on the evaluation of evidence that was developed from our investigation it appears that Abu Musab Zarqawi is dead - for real this time."

This was on the backup FreeRepublic site on Yahoo.
freerepublic2 at Yahoo
It was quite a fluke that I even signed in last night as I'm usually asleep. For some reason at 3 am I woke up as if a lightning bolt had shot through me. Was really weird. So I got up and came in to see what, if anything, was happening. That's when I found out FR was down and went to the backup site at Yahoo and saw the posts about the BOLO.
I've not heard anything at all this morning about it. I was going to ping the poster of the original message but was not sure if they use the same name on Yahoo as here on FR.

There have been two postings on jihadi boards about Zarqawi's death in the past week. The postings were made several days apart and explicitly stated that he had achieved martyrdom. The only means of doing that is by death. Abu Mus'ab al Zarqawi is not a common name so I don't think they were referring to anyone else.
The posting taking credit for the Basra attacks was made this morning on Al Ansar on behalf of ZARQAWI'S GROUP by one of the SAME people who last week was asserting his martyrdom. I'm in the process of comparing the writing styles to known Zarqawi communications to try and determine whether it is likely to be authentic or not.
Here's the posting:
BEGIN TRANSLATION
The sheikh Abu Mus'ab Alzrqawy Amir the Al Tawhid group and the jihad adopts operation of the port of the last Basra
In the name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful
{ then you kill the polytheists where you find them and take them and count them and show them so that all may see }
( A battle to conquer the Crusaders in memory of Sheikh Yousef Aleiri, may Allah have mercy upon him)
The praise of Allah, the noble and great, the all powerful Almighty, benevolent supporter, who humiliates the libertines, and our prayers and greetings to the cheerful epic prophet, who leads the fight, and who is the heros leader, and to his family and his mighty companions.
As for after:
We have made our choice and raised the jihad flag, and we took the spearheads and the spears from a compound, and we sail in it to the glory, a belief from us that the neigh of the horse and the clatter of the swords are our keys, and the way to glory as said that was above : { you fight them who torture Allah with your hands and stab them and Allah supports you against them and spreads to the hearts of the believers }; then there we bring the good news to our brothers, all of the Muslims and especially the militants who rush in multitudes to the smell of an Al Aranin, the brave warriors in the time of the Ubayyid, the men of the falcons of glory falcons, imitated what their Al Qaeda brothers did when they knew that the destroyer (Cole) was in the port of Aden, then they returned this battle to their minds with new faces, and a stubborn insistence on attacking the key economic elements of the countries of the world and their unbelief, calling for the destruction of the flag of the cross in the Muslim countries; our brothers have targeted with their marine boats, the oil tankers in both deep water ports and in protected ports, and the Australian forces protected it until the malicious Australian prime minister rushed to the location so that he could see what happened to his forces, claiming that is not an increase in declared instructions.; but some of the satellite TV stations pointed to this sudden visit .
You the Muslims :
They are Allah enemies, and as in their habit, they hide this blessed battle and only reveal the portions of the operation that they wish to, not exposing the hidden portions and not removing the veil of secrecy of the blessed operation, by Allah, these are the enemies of Allah above.
Then we say for you O the enemies of Allah, the oil thieves stealing the wealth of Iraq, and the drug dealers, we have drawn the sword of Allah against you, as said Khaled Bin Al Walid, may Allah be pleased with this armies: If you ascend to the sky we will bring Allah to you, and if you stayed in the seas than Allah descend to you
And we, oh the evil snakes who persist in the persistent ahead in the attack on our land, we will come to you and attack you by land, sea and air until Allah grants us victory or until we perish. There is no choice to us except one of these two honors, and we wait for Allah to injure you with torture, or we do it my our hands, you are in wait for this.
You the Muslims :
What the apostates and their masters repeat, that the militants kill the innocents and consider lawful the blood [family], then this is the trick of the villain and we must be more careful in the practice of our religion so that when we meet Allah, we are of Muslim blood, and Allah and his messenger protect their blood [family].
Then so that the world hears of its capture we bring you people who love death as they love life, the nations armour and fortress as decreed by Allah the most Exalted, and for us with your powers and messages to Allahs ear above
Allah is the greatest and the honour of Allah and of his messenger and of the militants
Our last prayer is our praise of Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds
Abu Mus'ab Alzrqawy
The prince of the Al Tawhid Group for Jihad
6 Rabi I 1425

Iran nuke plant?
Jerusalem considers pre-emptive strike by summer's end

While Iran announced plans to begin building a heavy-water reactor that can produce weapons-grade plutonium, Israel began drawing up plans to demolish it much as it destroyed an Iraqi nuclear facility more than a decade ago.
Sources in Israel say the attack could come before the end of summer, according to Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
While Tehran insists the facility is purely for research, the decision heightens concern about Iran's ability to produce nuclear aims.
The 40-megawatt reactor could produce enough plutonium for a nuclear weapon each year, according to sources.

I was talking to a friend of mine about Iran's Nuke plant and found out that there are no power lines coming from the plant. He said this is a clear sign that the plant is being used for things other than power for its citizens...
