US Promises to Punish Those Responsible for Gruesome Iraq Attacks

The top U.S. official in Iraq says Wednesday's gruesome attacks on four American civilians whose burned bodies were put on display in the town of Fallujah will not go unpunished.

"It's going to be deliberate, it will be precise and it will be overwhelming," U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said, speaking to reporters in Baghdad. He warned insurgents in the town of Fallujah to be prepared for U.S. forces to strike back following Wednesday's killing of four American contractors by a frenzied mob that dragged their charred bodies through the streets.

Televised footage of the act has provoked outrage from Americans in the United States and led U.S. administrator in Baghdad Paul Bremer to issue a warning.

"Their deaths will not go unpunished," he promised.

The White House blamed the attacks on supporters of Saddam Hussein. The remains of the four were to be turned over to the U.S. military.

A day after the attack, three American soldiers were injured in another attack near Fallujah, this time when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.

This story re: anthrax and AQ has been posted however, they have updated it. Also, if any of you haven't seen this it is long and reads like a spy novel or something out of Alias. But very informative and gives you a look into "their" thinking and MO.

Today, we were told that a federal study found lax security at anthrax labs, that the FBI was continuing to check crop dusting planes and pilots because of an Al Qaeda anthrax threat, and that the head of MI5 had warned the British Commons of a possible anthrax attack.

Now that we know a bit more about the nature of terrorism threat analysis as the result of the 911 Commission, let's go back and revisit the information we have about the potential anthrax threat from Al Qaeda. In October 2001, did the FBI profilers know of the draft message Khalid Mohammed had on the seized laptop from Operation Bojinka in 1995? (Hambali's involvement dates back to Bojinka, as does Khalid Mohammed's.) The draft letter was signed "Khalid Sheikh Bojinka." The letter threatened to use biochemical weapons if the blind sheikh was not released.

Use of biochemical weapons as retaliation for such detentions was an alternative scenario in the Bojinka planning -- just as was flying planes into buildings. The "sender" was a coded reference to the nature of the operation. i.e., Bojinka. Here, the coded reference referred to Greendale School -- i.e., Egyptian Islamic Jihad or Egyptian Islamic Group (or a coalition). Zawahiri had used "school" as code for the Egyptian Islamic Jihad in a letter in May 2001 to all his followers explaining what was up.

Seems to me with all the security in the port of Basra and Kuwait below that, not to mention all our ships in the Gulf they would have to come from Iran????

I don't know if anyone's posted this yet but I put "new york suburbs" & destroy into google an found out that the story about New York being destroyed was written in 1995 by a man named Gottfried von Werdenberg he is an Austrian "seer". I found this link and then many more about it. NYC Destroyed by Arabs It's almost word for word what the other story says.

Yes that's an ongoing article and is more compelling and convoluted than the show Alias. The more we read and find the more confused I get about what the plan really is. Which is it? Nuclear, biological chemical a little of everything. More planes, trains, trucks??

I would guess that there are 100's of wooden boats in that area, so they could have been at any dock, without notice, until needed.

You can bet they are stolen.

Iran has its fingers all over the trouble in Iraq, so yes, they could have come from Iran, you can bet that in the least, Iran sent money for loading them.

Thoughts on the Hudson scuba story: I was doing some research on the Danskammer power plant. It is located 50 miles from NYC and is across the river from the Indian Point nuclear plant. It is owned by Houston-based Dynegy. While searching the plant's name, I came across a conversation that took place the night of the August blackout. It was between two people who live and work in the area. They were discussing that the only reason the lights stayed on upstate is because they were able to fire up the Danskammer coal plant. I think this diver from Honduras was on a scouting mission with future sabotage in mind. This summer is not going to be good.

Oh great, it was already 99 here today. I can't imagine living here without electricity.

It's odd that Houston seems to be the conduit between the NPP and the illegal. Houston was also on the last alert with threats to chemical and gas plants. Houston was also where the guard was shot by someone taking pics of the chemical plant. Also where that last explosion took place.

That was pretty good work on your part putting that together. I was just wondering if they thought they could blow the NPP so the fallout would just travel down the Hudson and forever pollute the whole area.
