US Promises to Punish Those Responsible for Gruesome Iraq Attacks
The top U.S. official in Iraq says Wednesday's gruesome attacks on four American civilians whose burned bodies were put on display in the town of Fallujah will not go unpunished.
"It's going to be deliberate, it will be precise and it will be overwhelming," U.S. General Mark Kimmitt said, speaking to reporters in Baghdad. He warned insurgents in the town of Fallujah to be prepared for U.S. forces to strike back following Wednesday's killing of four American contractors by a frenzied mob that dragged their charred bodies through the streets.
Televised footage of the act has provoked outrage from Americans in the United States and led U.S. administrator in Baghdad Paul Bremer to issue a warning.
"Their deaths will not go unpunished," he promised.
The White House blamed the attacks on supporters of Saddam Hussein. The remains of the four were to be turned over to the U.S. military.
A day after the attack, three American soldiers were injured in another attack near Fallujah, this time when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.

maybe they are out getting ready for something.I would tend to think the above is the case. SP2BF, you understand their language and culture a lot better than I do. But with the brainwashing in the madrassas, once they have committed to jihad, they don't seem to back off.

Italy Seizes 8,000
Kalashnikovs Headed To US
4-21-4
ROME (Reuters) - Italian customs officers seized more than 8,000 Kalashnikov assault rifles and other weapons on a ship headed to the United States, officials said Tuesday.
The arms, worth about $7.15 million, were discovered aboard a ship arriving from Romania that pulled into the southern Italian port of Gioia Tauro on its way to the United States, Italy's customs said in a statement.
According to the travel documents, the arms belong to a large U.S. company with headquarters in the state of Georgia.
"We know that the destination was North America, but we don't effectively know if that's where the arms were going," a customs official told RAI state television.
The arms were found inside three containers during a routine customs check earlier this week. They were confiscated due to discrepancies in the customs forms, but the news was only made public Tuesday.
The customs office said the weapons had been described as "common guns" instead of assault rifles and longer-range combat arms in the travel documentation. ($1=.8390 Euro)

My hunch is it will be with Cuba's assistance.

To the groups of people that continue to get these sites taken down for their content and violation of the terms of service I would like to say thank you very much. Thanks for the number of countless hours that myself as well as other intelligence gatherers (including the federal govt.), will have to spend looking for the new location of this site....because mark my words, they will be back up...they always are.
For the providers of these news groups and suspected terrorist forums I say this:
Perhaps before taking a site down and deleting its content because you have received complaints for violations of terms of your service, or the threatening nature of the content contained on the targeted sites.....maybe checking with FBI Headquarters in Washington DC may be helpful before taking action. Just my own thoughts...

And if it comes from an enemy submarine, thank Klinton and company for dismantling SOSUS. Ruskies could be 100 yards off the beach and we'd never know it.

I don't know very much about the internet (except how to find FR :) )....but- the warning coming out;the emergency meeting; now the more public announcement; Russia having a legitimate reason to disconnect- all seem to point toward the potential for cyberattacks.
To: Domestic Church
Mine as well. Some troubling things are coming into clearer focus. Cuba's biowarfare capability is documented. AQ reaching out to Castro is documented. A poster some time ago said NORAD was most concerned about bio attacks. (I was surprised- I thought they would be more worried about nukes). AQ has a "navy", and possibly missiles which could be launched from their ships.
I hope I am very wrong.

" Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov was signing agreements that allowed his country to install a military aerospace base in Venezuela, control the aluminum industry and construct "Latin America's largest hydroelectric complex" by the Caroní river."
The more things change the more they stay the same. Perestroika is Russian baloney. I wonder how recent this was ? Could this new Russian/South American aluminum corner of the market possibly have something to do with metals prices falling right now?

I don't know.
It sure sounds like the possibility of a replay of the Cuban Missile Crisis may be at hand.
