The widow of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl is said to have found love again with a married CNN executive who oversaw the network's coverage of her husband's kidnapping by terrorists.Mariane Pearl has been quietly seeing CNN executive vice president Eason Jordan, sources told The Washington Post.
The Atlanta-based Jordan, 43, has been married for 16 years and has two children.
His wife, Susan Jordan, said, "I have absolutely no comment."
CNN reps would neither confirm nor deny an affair.
Eason "will not comment," spokeswoman Christa Robinson told us. "The company doesn't comment on the personal matters of any of our employees."
Pearl, who lives in New York, did not respond to a message left with her book agent yesterday.
The 36-year-old Pearl stood by Eason Jordan last year when he faced criticism after admitting he hadn't reported some info he'd learned during 13 trips to Iraq for "fear of endangering our staff in Baghdad."
"I have known Jordan for almost a year," she wrote in a letter to The Washington Post last April. "From the start, I was surprised by how ethical Jordan is and how dedicated he is to issues of journalistic ethics - more concerned than I would have expected from someone at a network like CNN, with its splashy logos and special theme music for the war."
Pearl, whose request for compensation from the 9/11 victims' fund was rejected last month, went on CNN Tuesday to plead her case. Some staffers wonder whether she'll be invited back.

That woman is just plain dispicable. Not that she is in love - but that woman is clearly looking for money.

This actually is significant news since CNN has been giving fairly favorable coverage to her (bizarre) attempts to get money from the 9/11 fund.
I don't like the 9/11 fund, simply because it sets bad precedent--why do the 9/11 families get something while the Khobar Towers families do not?--but Pearl's attempt to link herself to that fund is pretty pathetic.
And, of course, for someone who lost her husband to be carrying on with a married father is very, very low.
What a way to tarnish her husband's name and memory.

That's a terrible thing to accuse her of. How on earth would you know if she's in love or not?

His wife, Susan Jordan, said, "I have absolutely no comment."If Susan wanted to emulate Hillary, she would've had plenty of comments. She'd have energetically denied her husband was doing anything wrong and blamed it all on the VRWC.

Her husband KNEW what he was getting himself into. He KNEW the danger he was in.
If she gets money from the 9/11, then we all should apply.

Exactly what I say. We were all affected in some way if that's the case. Her husband's death had nothing to do with 9/11. I am sorry it happened but if she wants money tell her to Sue the government of Pakistan.

Now that she's torn up another woman's family, every scrap of sympathy I once felt for her is gone. Not to mention the attempt to get 9/11 money.
To: bonfire
Her husband KNEW what he was getting himself into. He KNEW the danger he was in. Precisely. The innocent people in the WTC, the plane over Pennsylvania, and in the Pentagon didn't know the danger they would be faced with. Daniel Pearl didn't lose his life on 9/11, he lost his life AFTER 9/11, in a dangerous place. Any reporter who wants to conduct an interview with a terrorist puts their lives in the terrorist hands.

Now that she's torn up another woman's family, every scrap of sympathy. Me neither. I feel bad for Daniel Pearl and his baby who will never see his father's face but not her.

Was she married when they met? Big difference if she wasn't.

Jennifer Anniston and Brad Pitt? They don't even look remotely like these two. It's wierd how Hollywierd casts their movies.

No, she was widowed from what I can see. But, HE was married and she is knowingly tearing up a family. I don't see a difference.
