Jordan has siezed a truck carrying explosives, a senior security force said on Thursday, one day after the Arab country said it had uncovered a group planning to carry out terrorist attacks.
The source would not give any details, but said the seizure of the truck was linked the group.
Jordan said late on Wednesday that it had uncovered a group which it accused of planning to carry out terrorist attacks in the kingdom, arresting some suspects and hunting others still on the run.
Security has been tightened at key sites around the capital Amman, including embassies, government institutions and the prime minister's office.
In mid-March the United States increased its level of alert in Jordan, uring Americans to step up viligance after recieving information about possible attacks on hotels in the kingdom.

Tom Daschle is deeply saddened by this.

Given Mansoor's track record of late, I'd treat everything he says with extreme caution.
