American Muslim Group Condemns 'Mutilations,' Not Murders

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which describes itself as a Muslim civil rights group, issued a press release on Wednesday, condemning "the mutilation of those killed in Iraq on Wednesday."

However, the press release did not condemn the murders of the four American civilian contractors, who -- as CAIR put it -- "were ambushed in their SUV's, burned, mutilated, dragged through the streets and then hung from a bridge spanning the Euphrates River, according to news reports."

CAIR said the mutilations of the bodies "violated both Islamic and international norms of conduct during times of war and [CAIR] called on all parties to the conflict to respect the sanctity of the dead and the sensitivities of their families."

The Washington-based Islamic civil rights and advocacy group cited a tradition of the Prophet Muhammad that prohibits mutilating bodies (Hadith 654.3).

In another tradition, CAIR added, "the Prophet...said, "Do not kill women or children, or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place." (Al-Muwatta, Vol. 21, Hadith 9)

That was the only reference to murder in the press release.

CAIR, which describes itself as America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, is based in Washington, D.C. It has been criticized by some Americans for its ties to Muslim extremists.

When will the American government have the will to break its political correctness and go after those Muslim groups and their supports who make up the fifth column in America? What will it take? An attack by them?

Islam claims its heritage through Abraham's elder son, Ishmael. Of Ishmael, Genesis 16:12 tells us, "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."

Islam is a religion born out of blood and the sword, not peace. The secular Muslim scholar Ibn Warraq, author of 'Why I Am Not a Muslim' and 'The Quest for the Historical Muhammed', points out that, from the approved holy books on the life of Mohammed that the prophet and his band of followers participated in 80 political assassinations in their consolidation of power.

The reports are that the four were civilian contractors, traveling in an SUV providing security for a food convoy.

However, the point is moot. If they were actual military personnel, what happened to them still cannot and should not be tolerated by the Islamic community. The fact that it is being tolerated speaks volumes.

The severity of the attack will determine how much P.C. gets tossed.

I wholeheartedly agree we should not wait for the attack.

CAIR and the other islamic terror fronts need to be neutralized. Fast.
