Cannot argue with your logic. I suggest letting the Marines do what they do best. Among that list of attributes is NOT asking the enemy to play nice. It becomes a learned response. Anything short of that I consider dereliction of duty by our chain of command all the way to the top. If that approach fails I am all for a heavy metal response.

I did something guaranteed to get my blood pressure up and listened to some C-Span callers. A female called in saying that of course they were acting barbaric--because we have taken their soveriegnty away and caused so much unrest in that region that we brought this on ourselves. She suggested we talk to them about what we've done to cause this. Another guy said it was good we saw pictures of the mutilations yesterday so that people that wanted to go to war would have to see them because they never want to see the ugly part of war. Also, Black Hawk Down incident is George H. Bush's fault, not Clintons'.
Neither seemed to grasp that these monsters lost the keys to the kingdom Saddam bestowed upon them ,are not well loved after their affliation with him, and probably miss torturing and killing people which they got to do regularly. I love the way they transfer the behavior of the group yesterday to the entire country even though every poll shows the majority is looking towards a future of freedom. Just knowing these people vote scares the wee willy winke out of me.
