I think I finally found a place where I can check E-Mial and get on line a couple times a day.

Just wanted to pop in here and tell everyone hello, I am at Walter Reed, had the rest of the tumor removed this morning and am doing fine.

In the patient rec center, I think I can only be on here for fifteen minutes, although nobody has told me to get off yet. Nothing too new from Iraq, I sent the Maj. and SFC cycotte, a quick e-mail about what is going on.

Sent Dr.deb a thank you.

My stupid face really hurts right now, and idiot nose won't stop running, and it hurts to blow it.

Just picked me up a whole coffee cup full of donated hershey kisses.

Missed wishing you a happy birthday last night, so here I am better late than never and missing your pretty smiling face!

So, I suppose I can guess how old you are, but I won't! :-) You don't look a day over 30 anyway, so no need to fret! Hope you had a wonderful birthday, and got to eat some really yummy place for dinner? (that is all I will say! LOL) We love you!

Had dinner, was pretty good, chicken cordon bleu, a little wild rice, some cauliflower w/cheese sauce, and two ice cream sandwiches.

How are you planning on using the Venison? in a Crock Pot, or oven/stove top?

See, Venison is such a lean meat that it also might not be as tender as beef chuck. Thusly, it needs some time to simmer to tenderize (or beat the crap out of it!)

I'd suggest a marinade for it, after they thaw (maybe with some salt, white pepper, minced onion, and either some red wine, or apple cider vinegar (to get rid of the game-y taste.)

After you've finished the marinade, set up the pot, and simmer the venison with some beef stock, diced tomatos (~1 cup) and more minced onion, garlic, and carrots. Simmer for a couple of hours, and then add in celery and potatos.

This should be complemented with some crusty wheat french bread, fresh butter, and a nice bottle of merlot, cabernet, or regular zinfindel.

Hope this helps.
