Baseball fans, draw near. President and Mrs. Bush hosted a luncheon for baseball's Hall of Fame members and new inductees in the State Dining Room at the White House. (Mr. Bush will throw out the first pitch on Monday in St. Louis.)
Laura Bush continued hosting Marta Sahagun de Fox, wife of Mexican President Vicente Fox, as the two First Ladies visited Martha's Table, an organization that helps low-income and homeless children, families and individuals in Washington. They packaged sandwiches for distribution and read a book in English and Spanish to children in a bilingual day-care class.
In an unwitting effort to carry on the cherry tree vs. magnolia tree controversy from yesterday's Dose, Mrs. Bush met with the 2004 Cherry Blossom Princesses in the East Room of the White House.

Actually, I'm not all that chipper.
It's Wednesday, and we haven't got a clue as to what we're going to be able to do this weekend. It has gone beyond exasperating.

Somehow I think what's in the sky is secondary in this "conversation" but if you need another excuse, I can tell you that there are five planets lined up really close to the moon this month; Saturn, Venus, Mars . . . I don't know the others, but maybe you should take your "significant others" out and investigate . . . :-)

Sweet Williams are another favorite of mine. Vibrant colors, very easy to grow perennials, and lusciously fragrant.

Washington State, the other Washington, as we say out here.

I am thrilled that you're experiencing relief from the probiotics. I also take L-Lysine to boost my very weak immune system, and the old standby, Vitamin C.

Thanks for posting that, Atomic_Punk.

Thanks, Ohio. Had I known that I wouldn't have bothered to reply to him.
Did I congratulate you on Eric's homecoming? I meant to.
Prayers answered and so happy about Mike as well.
Now if we can just get things organized and get everyone home, all will be well.

WE ARE GOING TO DELIVER OHIO FOR PRESIDENT BUSH -- WHATEVER IT TAKES! So, like, what are you saying? Does she like get to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom after he's re-elected? Can Mr. ohio go along?
