What actually is "nationalist bigotry"?

Would you say that this passgae was an example?

We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

I lifted it from the Free Republic home page and it was written by Jim Robinson.

We oppose all forms of liberalism, He misspoke: he is NOT opposed to classical liberalism. But he is correct: this word has been hijacked and now means something else.

socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc.

What do these have to do with nationalism?

We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. That is nationalism, and as you can see there is nothing bigoted about it.

Not all nationalism is bigotry, but it often provides a warm hiding place to such. A nationalist is for sovereignty of his or her own country. In that sense, I completely agree with Jim's statement.

Now, when someone starts insisting on purety of blood and/or religion in the state --- that's what I was refferting to and that is altogether different story.

We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Exactly right. And we are not doing enough of that.
