Her "testimony" wasn't release so Matthews is just being stupid tonight for maximum effect. He is taking every little evidence shred and assuming everyone should have jumped to the conclusion that he sees crystal clear.

What they had to do was like putting a puzzle together except all of the pieces look almost the same and you don't know what the final result is supposed to look like.

Tom Oliphant of The Boston Globe on Imus on the radio, said Clarke's 'inconsistencies' were understandable because 'he's only human. There are no politics being played here'. Of course, it's important to get Condi Rice testifying under oath in public to 'clear up troubling discrepancies in her previous statements'. (Perjury was spelled out for anyone listening to this folderol while shaving, showering, or driving to work). Perjury evidently doesn't apply to Clarke in this universe no matter how many times he lies through his teeth. Happily, the voting public has taken this weasel's measure and doesn't believe a word he says. Especially as he was in charge of the Somalia mess during the Clinton admin. That fact should be thrown in his face everytime he shows up on TV.

The first half of this interview confirms it well enough for me. He spent alot of time attacking Rice, and alot of time attacking Rice under oath.
