Better refigure the handicap as Hitlery boasted of an 'October Surprise' the other day. Clarke is not big enough to be a Hiliary "October Surprise". I'll take the under.

I'm trying hard to make this not a partisan thingYeah, right. That's why everything is the fault of eight months of Bush while everything was just hunky-dory on the terrorism front for eight years of Clinton.

I think the entire commission is so tainted at this point that it needs to be completely dismantled. If only. Just make sure that people know the commission's report won't even be fit to wipe their butts with.

"I just don't want to be used," Clarke told The Associated Press. "I don't want to be part of what looks like a political TV ad. I'm trying hard to make this not a partisan thing but a discussion of how we stop terrorism from happening in the future, keep this on a policy issue. I don't want this to become any more emotional or personal than it has already.""
This, from the guy who stated to 50 million fellow Americans "I can't believe George Bush is running on his record in the war on terror?"
If you are a Bush supporter, you just can't script this kind of implosion any better.
And on deck, Dr Rice....awaits her at bat against this POS.....(grin)
Too late, Mr Clarke, way to freakin late.

Yeah, that's pretty funny.
I thought it was wrong to use 9/11 for political gain.

What a difference a week makes...
The White House may have mishandled accusations leveled by their former counterterrorism adviser Richard Clarke by attacking his credibility, keeping the controversy firmly in the headlines into a second week, political analysts say. Clarke is shown being sworn in before the national commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks on Capitol Hill March 24. (Kevin Lamarque/Reuters) |

"This is a public statement that Clarke had made," Pariser said. "We think it's important to get what Clarke has to say out there."
Methinks Clark doesn't want his remarks "out there" for examination/rebuttal. Maybe Clark knows he has painted himself into a corner with some of his statements. And the sheeple will forget (if they are not reminded ).

Oh my.......LOL!
Serves his punk a$$ right; he's a mean-spirited, vengeful man who got upset because he didn't get to go in the Oval Office and talk to George Bush every single day.
Dogs, fleas, all that!

I really hate it when I don't know whose side to take.
Oh wow, is this what non-partisanism feels like? It sucks. LOL

IMPORTANT: Please recognize why Clarke is asking this - THE QUOTE BEING USED HAS ALREADY BEEN OBLITERATED BY CLARKE HIMSELF DURING SWORN TESTIMONY!
He's not as concerned that MoveOn is using his material as he is / they are that this particular quote can be so readily dismissed as the outrageous lies & propaganda that it is because - when that question was posed to Clarke under oath - he contradicted his prior statement (to 60 Minutes) and said, "NO", there was no way anything Bush could have done to avoid 9/11.

Yeah, right. That's why everything is the fault of eight months of Bush while everything was just hunky-dory on the terrorism front for eight years of Clinton.Don't you know? The whole concept of terrorism just sprang fully grown into existence on January 20, 2001. Before then, the word "terrorist" didn't even exist. </sarcasm>

Clarke can't even spin his way out of this. He better learn from the spin master Clinton before he makes a complete fool of himself in public statements, or end up face down next to a canon in Ft. Marcy Park.

He sounds so sincere.
I mean, we've known about these ads for days and he just bided his time so they could get a good viewing and discussion, then makes his "request".
B.S. Mr. Clarke.
Oh, and Dick? The quote they're using from your rancid lips IS partisan and political, so can your crap about not wanting to make this so.

Ever since the Clarke bomb exploded, Bush's poll numbers have improved. I don't think, as Goiters states, that the "White House may have mishandled" Clarke's accusations. Seems to me they've handled them brilliantly. All this attention to Clarke has reminded the American people about 9/11, and Bush's stellar leadership in the aftermath.

DIDN'T CLARKE'S ATTORNEY, ROBERT BARNETT, HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE CLINTONS? I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT BUT I AM SURE HE DID. I DO BELEIVE THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE ABLE TO TRACE MR. CLARKE BACK TO THE CLINTONS IN THE END.
