Miranda told Insight in an exclusive interview that both Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, broke clearly stated promises to expose collusion between top Democrats and special-interest groups seeking to thwart President Bush's nominees to federal courts. There you have it folks. Bush's conservative appointees were never to be confirmed. They were a bone thrown to conservatives with not a shred of meat left.

Riight than must be why we have two new appointees to federal courts whose nominations were blocked by the RATS.

Wait a second here...
Miranda is saying he was promised they'd go after the contents of the memos.
HOWEVER, Weyrich is not aware of any promise. He also seems to be saying Frist DOES want to look into the contents of the memos.
Who do I believe? I need more than just Manuel Miranda's say-so about these promises that he claims Hatch and Frist made. He has proven to be less than trustworthy by allowing this to go through the press as opposed to immediately telling Hatch, in my opinion.
