Hatch and Frist have essentially colluded with the Dems and have now turned this into a Republican scandel. They ought to be held accountable right along with all of the Dems that are involved in this.I fully concur. Hatch, lately, has been acting like he has a brain tumor. His attacks on basic Conservative principles--such as the Constitutional requirement that the President be native born--make one wonder just what has happened to him.
Frist? He never seemed too Conservative to start with. He is a friend of Karl Rove's, and that is reason enough to distrust him in my book.

I did - but Weyrich's saying he is not aware of any such promise to Miranda by Frist and/or Hatch.
The stuff in that NAACP memo is pretty damning - they conspired with the Demcorats on the Senate Judiciary Committee to rig an appeals court decision.
My beef is that Miranda did not tell Hatch (who he was working for) about that the moment he saw the memo. Nor did he apparently tell Frist when he started to work for him. Hatch and Frist probably found out when they opened the papers. Miranda's job was to make sure they knew about it BEFORE they opened the papers. He did not do it. Hatch and Frist were blind-sided.
How can I take his version of events at face value? I'm really not sure I can.

Perhaps you are not aware that the RAT actions are hurting them and now Bush will be using recess appointments and the nation can understand the necessity.
I would prefer a full blown filibuster myself but am not about to fall into the "Blame the GOP for RAT misdeeds" trap.

Looks like Hatch has turned out to be nothing but a two-faced wind-bag ...A cowardly GOP windbag ... but, of course, to any of us paying attention we've known that of Hatch for several years now. Don't count on Hatch before he chickens ...
