My wife, who deals with the general public, has heard that individuals connected with the military are livid. That would be Republicans in general. They are angry that either: 1. Bush has not ordered solutions like the ones I mentioned above. or 2. Pulled the troops out completely and let the Iraqis, Sunnis, Kurds, Shiites, inbred whatever kill each other. Bush is goign to lose the Presidential election if something is not done within a relatively short time frame. Case closed. That is a BIG part of my rage and anger. I don't like the decisions being made either. However, I would rather die than live under another Administration which will end up worse than the one Bill Clinton brought us. Criticism of Bill Clinton caused me problems that will never go away. If Kerry comes into office, I will simply have to endure it and keep my mouth shut. Life would not be worth living. Why we cannot find leadership who stands up and tells the world what it needs to hear from us I do not know. I have the will, but not the means ($$) to get into office and to get the ($$) one must become a political prostitute.
Last, but not least, here is the passage to which I alluded earlier:
2 Samuel 20:13 As soon as he was removed from the highway, all the men passed on after Joab to pursue Sheba the son of Bichri.
2 Samuel 20:14 Now he went through all the tribes of Israel to Abel even to Beth-maacah and all the Berites; and they were gathered together and also went after him.
2 Samuel 20:15 And they came and besieged him in Abel Beth-maacah, and they cast up a mound against the city, and it stood by the rampart; and all the people who were with Joab were wreaking destruction in order to topple the wall.
2 Samuel 20:16 Then a wise woman called from the city, "Hear, hear! Please tell Joab, 'Come here that I may speak with you.'"
2 Samuel 20:17 So he approached her, and the woman said, "Are you Joab?"And he answered, "I am."Then she said to him, "Listen to the words of your maidservant."And he answered, "I am listening."
2 Samuel 20:18 Then she spoke, saying, "Formerly they used to say, 'They will surely ask advice at Abel,' and thus they ended the dispute.
2 Samuel 20:19 "I am of those who are peaceable and faithful in Israel. You are seeking to destroy a city, even a mother in Israel. Why would you swallow up the inheritance of the Lord?"
2 Samuel 20:20 And Joab answered and said, "Far be it, far be it from me that I should swallow up or destroy!
2 Samuel 20:21 "Such is not the case. But a man from the hill country of Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, has lifted up his hand against King David. Only hand him over, and I will depart from the city."And the woman said to Joab, "Behold, his head will be thrown to you over the wall."
2 Sameul 20:22 Then the woman wisely came to all the people. And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri and threw it to Joab. So he blew the trumpet, and they were dispersed from the city, each to his tent. Joab also returned to the king at Jerusalem.
