I can't wait to hear them try to stop her from expounding too much - the truth is about to become very public and very painful to the Party of Immoral Cowards.

I would suggest that the "commission" take the grand opportunity the President has given them to return to the real task at hand, which is to inform the American people on how we can prevent another 911 from ever happening again. The facts are, that as it stands now, the American people do not believe Richard Clarke (he was dead on arrival) and do not believe that the "commission" is doing anything worth while other then showing political bias. So, Lee Hamilton and Tom Kean better get off their weak butts and bring this commission into focus. Right now they are batting zero!

The only down-side about condis' testimony is that we will never hear much of what she has to say from the MSM'ers when it's over. And to compare her with CLarke is a totally unfair comparison. Other than that she will wipe the floor with the lib-dogs. Be sure they will have her old testimony right in front of them just looking for a stray comma or misplaced modifier useable to accuse her of something.

The problem everyone is overlooking is just this. No one and I mean no one can hold up under the scrutiny of 10 on 1 without making some kind of mistake.
This is strictly political.
When this commission hearing is over we need an Independent Commission on the US Congress and the buying and selling of power.Especially the largest cover up in decades of buying, selling and manipulating Judgeship's for Special Interest. The majority is not being heard and the Democrats are overthrowing our government and circumventing out Constitution right in front of us.
We then need one on the US News Media and their influencing elections in America for profit and personal gain. The news media in America is just as corrupt as Congress and has more influence.
Folks need to remember the New York Times and Jason Blair is just the crust on the pie.
CNN admitted to holding back information on Saddam to gain favors with him and his regime.
NBC and their parent company General Electric met John Kerry in one of his compounds on Nantucket Island in the summer of 2002 and along with five companies under SEC investigation to plan their strategy. These five companies were being investigated for accounting irregularities and misleading stock ratings.
It is a known fact the press has covered up numerous illegalities for Kerry and there is an orchestrated movement and Agenda with them to cover his a$$ at all cost and elect him.
Remember with Bush how the so called :Mainstream Media" sat on the Bush DUI charge against Bush for month's and put it out there the night before the election. They then went and called Florida hours before the polls closed. Don't tell me there is not an agenda and conspiracy involved.

"The Commission" should be required to answer a few questions before they ever ask any more questions of Condi, President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Did anyone on this Commission know about Clarke's book before it was announced?

Did anyone on this Commission discuss with Clarke the writing of his book?

When did this Commission or anyone member of it know about Clarke's book?

Did anyone on this Commission know about Clarke's book when the extension was requested?

Was the extension requested because of Clarke's book?

Everyone one of them should be required to answer under oath. Looks like we need to investigate the members on this Commission and who their sources are.

I am not worried at all that Condi is being set up. She is brilliant, and will blow everyone away when she testifies. If the Democrats continue to pound on her, most Americans will consider it a racist attack. They can't afford to offend their Black base right now. Look for Condi to be the next political star, and look for egg to be splattered over every shrill, idiotic, immoral Democrat on the committee.

I agree that there is an agenda/conspiracy involved, but this way, the good guys get to tell their side of the story. There is bound to be a lot of lopsided questions, but Condi is smart enough to know this in advance and to be able to give answers, rather than mere responses. Any attempt to censure her will be glaringly obvious. Brave men and women may go where even angels fear to tread.

"This should have a separate post of its own:"

"Investigating The 9/11 Commission"

I hold the "Commission" accountable for the show they put on last week, with the only public hearings that promoted one person, making a profit of what he obviously could not prevent, yet makes a profit off the slaughter of 3000 American Citizens.

Talk about a sinister lying crooked perverse generation.

From the article:

The disagreements between Rice and Clarke center more on matters of emphasis than questions of fact.

Point of order: Clarke has made some claims that can be factually refuted.

Dr. Rice shall acquit herself well, and the kangaroo court that is called the 9/11 Commission will be left stammering in her wake. From the beginning, there was no wish to do anything except assign at least as much of the blame for the events of September 11, 2001 on the Bush Administration, as could be found to apply to the actions of the regime of the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001".

Take care that when you are calling in an artillery strike, that you do not inadvertently give your own coordinates as the target zone.

The 9/11 Commission may still be able to save their own hides, by excusing Dr. Rice from making any public testimony. Some 95% of all personal woe in this world is self-induced, and may be traced directly to ego getting in the way of a natural sense of self-preservation.

...the silver lining in all of this is the issue of terrorism will be at the forefront instead of Kerry's idiotic economic statements regarding the Bush administration. I pray that Condi does a "daisy" on this panel...

I agree.

From the start, I have been saying that a commission chartered to investigate pre-911 intelligence was much more ominous for the prior administration than this one. The independent, apolitical voter who looks up to see what this noise is all about will see clearly the lunacy of blaming Bush for 9-11, the already committed ones will remain unaffected, IMHO. Truth is on our side, and the mainstream media has lost credibility and its ability to purvey the Left's agenda of lies.

I think this is very simple.

Panel: "Ms. Rice. In your opinion could 9/11 have been prevented?"

Rice: "Yes"

Panel: "Please explain"

Rice: "Well earlier in the spring of 2001, security at Logan Airport, which by the way is located in Boston, Mass., was tested on several occasions and failed. The information was delivered to Senator Kerry's office, who then sat on the information before finally telling the security detail that they should be sending this to the Department of Transportation. I have in my hand the affidavit from this person."

Rice continues: "As you know, of the four planes hijacked that day, two of the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers departed from Logan Airport. The Airport in Boston, Mass. The Airport which failed security checks earlier in the year. The Airport where the security guard obtained the information and presented it to Senator Kerry. The Senator from Mass. The Seantor from Mass, that sat on the information before telling the security guard to give it to the Department of Transportation. The Senator that wants to be the next President of the United States.

So to answer your question, Yes, 9/11 could have been prevented.

Next question?"
