Now thats the kind of thinking that has J Fing K in trouble. Remember, he was around when they talked about icing the Senate. Does this mean I have to report you?

U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Somerville) has suggested that businesses take a week off in July to avoid convention-related inconveniences. Did it even occur to this genius that those businesses might be supplying the convention? And it's going to be fun in the dining room when the cooks, waiters & busboy's can't get to work...

I thought Kerry was supposed to be The Jobs Candidate? Sounds to me like he's getting started in his own hometown.

Can't wait to hear Howie Carr this afternoon. He should be a hoot. I wonder how many Boston workers asked for the end of July for their vacation today. My son and daughter-in-law are ,again ,going to be grateful they escaped from Boston to Portland, Maine.

All they need now is a gay march in front of their locale.Oh, they've already got plans in place to ensure that no protesters or other embarrassing people come within miles of being seen near their convention, not that you'll hear anything about that from the media. Remember how Gen. Dinkins rounded up all the homeless for blocks around Madison Square Garden before the Rat convention in 1992 and bussed them way out into the countryside?

Sever predicted the closure may not be as draconian as threatened. "I think they'll do it for an afternoon or two when the big shots come in or when they leave. I don't think it'll be for days," he said. Tanslation:
Sever predicted the closure will last even longer than the Kerry Campaign. "I think they'll start it at rush hour one afternoon and it'll be for days, maybe a week." he said. "You're screwed. We might even sneak in another tax hike if we're lucky!"

unbelieveable!
They were just ranting and raving about Bush shutting down schools for a few hours when he stopped by in Boston the other day as I recall.
No comparison! This is great! They got their digs in first, now the hypocrits can eat crow. And in their "hometown".

Kerry's nomination will probably be more somber than Wellstone's funeral.

Getting around Boston, even without any special events, is a total nightmare. This is going to be unbelievable to watch.
