I was wondering if John O'Neill was still alive, and what he thought of the Kerry campaign. Thanks for posting this.

You're very welcome.
The rerun of the "Dick Cavett Show" on C-SPAN a few days ago showed up a young John Kerry against this John O'Neill, and despite the somewhat partisan attitude taken by Dick Cavett favoring Kerry, O'Neill scored some impressive points. Kerry really WAS that much of a phony, even then, and when cornered, showed a tendency to shift topic. The other tactic was to talk over O'Neill, seeming to hope that enough confusion thrown up would rattle O'Neill's line of logic.
John Kerry was more interesting as a young man. But unfortunately, he has learned absolutely nothing since then. He is more French than the royal house of Bourbons.
