Timmy Russert is now slamming this whole thing and said that the reason why the WH is doing this because of PR.

Tim Russert, former aide to Tip O'Neill, has been partisan as hell during this whole thing. So much for his claims of being even-handed and tough on everybody in his interviews.

And now we have Bill Press on MSNBC saying that if the Bush administration had had cabinet meetings every single day *****LIKE THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION DID**** maybe 9-11 wouldn't have happened.

He said they didn't meet on it until September.

The thing that has happened here is that these people can't get it through their heads that Bush HAD A DIFFERENT WAY OF DOING THINGS -- and that just because Mr. Clarke wasn't invited to the meetings doesn't mean they weren't meeting.

Clarke seems to believe if people weren't talking to him, they weren't talking!

He got demoted; he was out of the loop; he probably lost his good parking place, too -- and he's furious.

In downtown Cleveland, they cleared out the Justice Center due to a bomb threat. Over 2,000 people were milling around outside. I guess they were Democrats and too stupid to get in out of the rain. Oh well.
