A senior national security official who worked alongside Richard A. Clarke on Sept. 11, 2001, is disputing central elements of Mr. Clarke's account of events in the White House Situation Room that day, declaring that it "is a much better screenplay than reality was."

This is a good read. In his book Clarke describes the events of 9/11 as if it is a Tom Clancy novel and he is Jack Ryan (if Ryan pranced!).

It seems the truth is a little different from the way Clarke writes it.

Doesn't anybody remember the time Jack Ryan saved the day by transmitting a clever Power-Point (snickers) presentation? No? Anybody?

he might have a boyfriend

That's the first thing thjat came to my mind when I first saw him speak -- he's gay, and he's got a gay-queen's sense of over-dramatizing his "surmizes" and "impressions", i.e. 'from the look on Condoleza Rice's face I thought ... [blah, blah, blah]."

A man doesn't put any stock in such impressions -- but a queen builds 'her' whole world-view that way.
