One thing I know Jax is that a complete novice would have great difficulty "drawing" blood. Also, injecting someone in a vein takes some training and skill. As to the color coding. I am aware that syringes often times have different colored caps, mostly the caps indicate the size of the syringe. As in my grandson's medical supplies. I transfuse him once each week with blood product because he is a hemopheliac. We use a 10cc syringe for sterile water (which is the flush) and a 20cc syringe for the product. The 10cc syringe has a blue cap and the 20 cc syringe has a green cap.
