To my knowledge I've read all the Terri threads here. Just wondered if you were Freeper enough to ping the person to the comment you made about them or even name them.

And you said supporters in the plural sense, and didn't answer if you only meant one or more.

The issue of knowledge here is the lack of it shown by SOME people here who would call themselves her supporters.

In 41 years of being involved in and reporting on issues and causes, from Pinellas County (the old WLCY and WFLA) to Vietnam, Chernobyl, and hundreds of places in between, I have never seen such a poorly planned, poorly executed attempt to influence the outcome of an event.... with the resultant poor results.

Accept the reality. The current plan is failing.

Wny?

There is an overwhelming patina of fools trying to get personal publicity, goofy causes coming together and lack focus on RESULTS in Terri's cause.

Terri needs the best help possible, but she is getting many too many loonies.

Most of all there is an overriding focus on "process," as opposed to "results." People think that sign waving and phone calling has some results. "Terri's Law" was passed due to intense political work by three well-placed Republican political women who have never appeared on FR, and many here would not even know their names.

The Gov and legislators who passed "Terri's Law" know it is built on Constitutional Quicksand, but they gave it a shot. Betting in Tallahassee is 80-20 that it will fall on appeal.

Face some realities:

1. This is a very ill woman.
2. The vast majority of the rumors surrounding the case are just that, rumors, and are untrue.
3. The husband's side LEGALLY has all the standing in Court. The parents have no standing other than the extraordinary relief the Courts might give, and that would require almost full cooperation of the husband.
4. Some of our side's stunts have been a disaster; the quacks, the "shoot the abortionists" parading, the crazy non-lawyer who wants to make Terri his ward in an appeal before the UN!
5. The other side is winning the legal battle. While we scream and shout and post, they quietly go about winning every motion hearing.
6. This will be decided as a LEGAL issue and matter, not as a faith issue.

Finally, of course, someone here will scream about this post. The reality is that we are losing and need to change methodologies if we expect to win.

The ultimate form of insanity is to repeat the same behavior and expect different results.

Someone needs to take charge, raise some money, get a fresh, smart "friend of the Court" claim started and do something that CAN win, not this current BS!

Don't get me wrong. I want Terri to live.

In order for that to happen, I want the current idiocy to stop. Some of her "friends" are playing right into the husband's hands with their self-serving antics.

If they don't stop, they will have Terri's blood on their hands.

Get smart. Get professional. Get going.

That's all I have to say about this.

I wish you and Terri the best of luck.... and she is in my prayers.... but she needs much more than our prayers.
