I wonder what these fine mothers will say when their darling children are slaughtered in front of their eyes by the terrorists they allowed to exist by not fighting them before they come to our country enmasse. What a bunch of fools! Do think that any mother cherishes sending their child to war? I know some! They live in the Middle East! They are our enemies and have sworn to kill every Jew and Christian in the world! Wake up, you idiots! This United States is at war with a determined enemy that will slay us all, if given the chance!

When some idiot starts blithering about diversity and common hearts and such utter trolladytic twaddle, I find myself regretting that no one remembered a roll of duct tape to seal the offending mouth that speaks such inane garbage.

I'd personally feel safer if my 17 year old son and his friends got to face-off against the enemies of America. They are all excellent marksmen and masters of games like "Counterstrike."

The only thing he doesn't know is which branch- my Grandpa was in the army for WWII, father in the Marines for Vietnam, and I was in the Navy for Desert Storm. My father-in-law was Army in Nam and my little brother was in the Marine Reserves.

I keep telling him that the Navy is the way to go, but the competition is fierce!

Everytime we are forcefed one of these grassroots orgs established by some "housewife" she turns out to be Carville's sister-in-law who's really a professional lobbyist in real life.

Wonder what dim operative this one is related to.

"I looked around the table at my satin-cheeked boys - I mean, not one of them shaves yet - and saying I was damned if I was going to send any of them to Iraq."

You might not have to. Infect a few more people with your hairbrained attitude, and Iraq will come to them--and to you too.

LOL, I was struck by "satin-cheeked", too. A Google search turns up exactly one instance.

"There's a special place in heaven for Moms with three boys"."

Really? Then my mom must have a reserved seat somewhere up near the Throne. She raised five boys ... four of which spent one term in military service (three Air Force and one Navy/Army) ... and I did my full 20.

Special place indeed?! She's happy just to have a little peace and quiet now.

I have three sons--12,10 and 8. My 12 year old wants to be a helicopter pilot, like his father. If that is what he wants than so be it. I don't have to like it, but it makes me proud that he wants to serve.

And here's THIS mom's take: My three sons couldn't be more proud of their dad, especially while he was over in Iraq. The oldest (12) is into technology and wants to design futuristic weapons for the military. The middle (11) wants to become an Army officer. The youngest (9) is leaning toward policeman or fireman (both extremely dangerous jobs). And *I* couldn't be more proud. Of course I don't want them to go off to war or face bad guys on the street or blazing infernos every day--what mother does? But if they did, I would express all of my pride and none of my fear and treat them like the heroes they are.

How DARE these generic mothers in this article presume to speak for ME?

Helicopters scare me to death ... I'd really have to struggle to be positive about that! Congratulations on your sons - life is one catastrophe after another with boys, isn't it :-).

"We decided we weren't going to be just a bunch of women whining on the phone to each other.

Instead they were a bunch of women whining in her living room. A gathering of twits.

Well, my husband flies one, it took my a a couple of years to come to gips with it. They seem to have trouble staying in the air(since he survived on crash in Afghanistan). Placing my child in one scares my more. But, right now it's what he wants.

As for the "satin cheek" thing. I haven't seen my boys cheeks since they could walk, they are constantly covered in dirt. Will they ever learn to clean themselves?

We buried my Father this passed Saturday. He was a World War 11 Veteran. He was honored with a Military Funeral for his brave service. It was not easy on our family when he went to Europe, but he served proudly. No one wants to see their family in harms way. He and others fought for our freedom, and I am very proud they did so.

These "moms" have no clue. They are spoiled typical "soccer" mommies who want everything, and are not willing to give.

"Could these people sound more fake?"

I'm surprised the article didn't say they were all Bush voters and lifelong Republicans, but they'd 'seen the light' now and kerry's the answer.
