Considering that
1) A carrier normally does not operate near any commercial air traffic lanes.
2) The Hornets would be on any intruders within 200 NM like stink on you know what.
3) The cruiser/destroyer screen would not let a target within 50 NM of the carrier.
The odds of the CARRIER shooting down a airliner is close to nill.
The airliner would be down well before the carriers last ditch defences would kick in.
