There are terrorists watching American television all over the world who WOULD LOVE to see Bush's National Security Advisor "testifying" before the 9/11 commissioners. What hurts is most of them are in America!......

The administration still has time to correct this situation, but it needs to do something fast. Letting Rice testify is a start. What a bnch of freaking idiots! Condi said in plain language that any 4-year-old could understand: NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISORS DO NOT TESTIFY IN OPEN COURT! NEVER HAVE, NEVER HAVE, NEVER WILL! She clearly pointed out this would be a disservice to all future NSA's.
The stupid 9/11 commission won't get any further than it has -- with our without her. We are and will be where we started: 8 years of Inexusable Clinton Inacation vs. 8 months of Barnd-new Bush Inaction.
These people should have their crayons taken away befpre they hurt someone.

If you've forgotten what it looks like when the wheels come off an administration, you're seeing it happen before your eyes. Wishful thinking.

Barf alerts are immature. I don't use them.

Why someone would want to testify specifically not under oath is anyone's guess, of course. Well, why doesn't the author ask Bill Clinton and Al Gore; they aren't testifying under oath OR in public.

Why someone would want to testify specifically not under oath is anyone's guess, of course. Doesn't "under oath" imply that she must promise to tell the whole truth? If I was the National Security Advisor and there wasn't any precedence for me to make that promise, I would want to be able to judge any question first with the option to respond, "Hey, that information is of National Importance and I am not at liberty to divulge it." I think Dr. Rice is doing her job quite fine.

I agree, she's testified under a closed session, of course, Dick Clarke can
skate on by.

Exactly, the impeached presidency is more culpable in this entire inquiry than Bush. Of course, let's not forget, "The Impeached President" had twelve times longer to get the ball rolling. Where is he now? Isn't is ironic he's so quiet lately?

NO! Like I said the other night, I don't watch TV. I'll watch a video now and then, got more details?

I just keep thinking about Ollie North's testimony to Congress and how he completely turned the tables on them and made them look like idiots. The 'Rats keep insisting that Condi testify...I think they better be careful, they may get what they wish for!

apparently, a few national security advisors have testified before such a commission in the past (perhaps under reagan?)
in any event, regardless of precedent, she should make some effort to appear before the commission, OR cease the media mudslinging circus that has evolved over the past week and get back to business. the back-and-forth allegations between her and clarke are sickening to say the least, and rice should take the high road and back off.
then again, it is a little curious that clarke should choose to open up at this point in time...either he is extremely honest or not so at all. in any case i should like to hear rice's opinions on this.

More media spin courtesy of the left wing media. They're all duplicitous.
