I am a diabetic (treating it by diet and exercise). I have to eat only complex Carbs and certain veggies and fruits only plus lots of protein and believe me the difference is incredible. I have more energy and feel so much more healthier than when I ate Pastas and White Flour breads. I can't eat white potatoes either or corn but I don't miss them at all anymore.

What's a typical day's diet?

How do you get away with eating any carbohydrates at all? A single potato can kick my mg/dl count up around 328!
To keep it down in the low 120s I eat lots of cabbage, all the meat and fish I need, a handful of nuts every day and few fruits of any kind.
