Christians, therefore, must find ways of standing in solidarity with Muslims as they address the sizable challenges that confront them.

O.K -- Show me the Muslims in authority who condemn the slashing of flight attendants' throats, strapping dynamite to retarded 14 years olds, blowing up busses and pizzerias; introduce me to the Muslims who defend Israel's right to exist and those who extoll religious tolerance, and the Muslims who will help us root out and kill the murderous vermin who have attacked our people -- then, I'm sure we will have lots to talk about.

While I don't believe that McDonald's and Starbuck's represent the same quality of threat to the Muslims that 9/11 did to the people in the WTC, I would be happy to discuss their concerns with them.

I can say from experience that Muslims in West Africa condemn all of these things you want them to condemn and support all of the things you want them to support. Ahmad Sidi ould Taya, prez of Mauritania, is a vocal supporter of Israel and leads one of the few "Arab" states that has diplomatic relations with Israel. I believe Morocco is another one, and with 250,000+ Moroccan Jews in Israel, the ties between the two countries have human faces.

Alpha Oumar Konare of the African Union has vocally condemned terrorism both religious and secular.

I'd write more but it's dinnertime. If you want more people, it's not hard to find them.
