It seems to me you my have your own, and quite different, agenda. I won't go there (and I dare say you won't either).
Ah yes, a country harboring, training and funding terrorists would of course be a distraction from the War on Terror, not a part of it. Another "appeasement conservative" dodges the questions, hardly surprising.
The argument is not that Saddam was a nice guy or that Iraq was/is a nice place.
No, of course not, and I never said it was. But the argument is that a nation that is providing the exact same services to terrorists that Afghanistan did prior to 9/11 (and is committing other acts of war against the United State) isn't really a national security concern. That might make sense in a world with no asymetric warfare, but we don't live in that world, and it's been some time since we have.
The point you wish to avoid is that there were better things to do and places to be for our armed forces during the last year.
Avoid? Oh no, please, enlighten me! Where should we have gone last year? Please be specific. Oh, and I thought you said we had no clue how to respond to terrorism, so what in the world could our military be doing that would help at all?
It seems to me you my have your own, and quite different, agenda. I won't go there (and I dare say you won't either).
Oh no, please, please, please, please, PLEASE, go there! Go ahead, sport, put your cards on the table. If you're going to imply that I'm a liar with a hidden agenda, let's go ahead and hear it! I'm all ears, baby! I really just can't wait!
