I work at exxonmobil, and they pushed this out saying it's all false.
I, for one, don't buy it. Exxonmobil makes $6.6 billion a quarter profit. They are gouging.

Yeah, right. About 89% of earnings is upstream and 11% downstream.
The money is in producing oil, not in retail and refining margins. If not, why is the number of gas stations declining? Why hasn't there been a new refinery built in the US since 1981?

I support Bush, but I believe the big oil companies are doing this, (with or without) Bush's blessing, knowing it will slow the economy. Then, about September, after massive profits have been made, prices will drop sharply, sending the economy into overdrive and giving Bush bragging rights for bringing down gas prices. Check Mate.
