I flipped past it. I'm tired of them always saying the problems are my fault.

The story on the website was mostly the same old sob stories we've been hearing for years.

An estimated 2 out of 3 people who try to cross the U.S.-Mexico border never make it.

I don't believe that.

It is a difficult life, fraught with low wages, long hours, bottom-of-the-ladder jobs, no healthcare and a deep-rooted tradition of exploitation.

It's difficult life they volunteered for, fraught with low wages because the glut of unskilled illegals depressed those wages, long hours that they are forced to work (/sarcasm), bottom-of-the-ladder jobs because they have little or no education, no healthcare unless you count the free stuff at ERs and a deep-rooted tradition of [their] exploitation of social services.

She needs to ask the Mexican Government when things are going to get better, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

I don't have cable TV so I can't watch it. I can't recall mainstream media ever mentioning Mexico and their corrupt government. Everything seems to be about the U.S. not doing enough.

Most of it was pro-illegal immigration. She did mention the hospital costs, but blames medicare for not paying for it. The 1-hour doc (minus commercials) showed about 5 minutes of those opposing illegal immigration. If she can ask Vicente on his Mexico Air Force One about America's "responsibilities, she can set up an interview with Tancredo. Nothing about the corrupt Mexican Government, Army, Police, and barly a mention about the corrupt US businesses.

It was biased, not a suprise.

They've been eating well.

They had to double down on the carbs in preparation for the long journey.

Who is going to pay for the high cost of educating those kids (who aren't coming here to work hard but to have a nice lifestyle paid by the taxpayers), and you can bet their parents have no intention of buying a private health insurance plan.

For balance the reporter could have filmed some of the gaudy mansions of the elites of Mexico, maybe gone on one of their cruise ships where the elites are lounging around in luxury. There are two sides of this story --- it doesn't have to do with Americans at all --- a fair unbiased reporter would have shown the conditions that exist in Mexico that bring all this about.

"Who is going to pay for the high cost of educating those kids"?

The American taxpayer!

"Who is going to pay for the school breakfast and lunches for those kids"?

The American taxpayer!

"Who is going to pay for the medical bills for those kids when the get sick or injured."?

The American taxpayer!

"Who is going to pay for the births of the new babies those mothers have"?

The American taxpayer!

Add in any more questions about who will pay the bill and the answer will stay the same.

The American taxpayer!

The American taxpayer!

The American taxpayer!

The American taxpayer!

You neocons just don't get it... they've obviously not been eating well... they've probably been subsisting on fast food and no one's been watching their fat intake and cholesterol for them at all! Much less making sure they've been drinking their water.

And obviously IF those mothers coming with those kids choose to work (not that likely --- they can come out further ahead if they choose to have some anchor babies) who will pay the day care costs for those kids with them now?

And yet it beats the hell out of staying in Mexico. Sad situation.

To the liberals who dominate our country this is the truth and there is no other side to this story. Our "elite" live in a closed loop feedback system, all watching the same news, all saying the same things, negating all that is outside liberalism.
