Great article! I say this while eating a bowl of creole beans and rice.

In my house, we eat anything we want, in moderation. We also work out 3 times a week, are active in sports, and are blessed to be healthy. So, you can understand why I feel a little aggravated with the low-carb revolution. My daughter is 10 and has a friend who is on Atkins. At that age, it's very sad. Carbs, fat, sodium, calories - where does it end? Our kids don't know what to eat and all the "diet talk" is making them crazy.

We're about to have our traditional Sunday waffles and maple syrup. Counting calories works. So does exercise. It's called moderation.
