A serious document dump is coming Clarke's way.

He must be completely nuts.

Critics of Operation Iraqi Freedom ignore these and many more ties among Saddam Hussein, al Qaeda and other Islamofascists. Why? Acknowledging these contacts would concede a major casus belli behind Coalition efforts.
The legal casus belli for the invasion (each enforcement of the "no-fly zone" constituted an "attack") was the violation by Saddam of the cease-fire agreement expressed in UN Security Council resolutions.

The real reason, of course, was the fact that Bush did not know that Saddam was not behind terrorist attacks on the US up to and including the anthrax attacks coincident with 911. And that Bush believed that a democratic Iraq would make a big change in its neighborhood, and in the Muslim world generally.

Which Clarke is lying?

With this clown in charge of anti-terrorism no wonder we have been attacked unabatedly for more than the past ten years. You couldn't believe anything that came out of his mouth if you asked his opinion.

Either way, Clarke has left himself wide open to a federal perjury investigation. He has about as much credibility as a screen door on a submarine!

And I hope they indict the duplicitous louse!
