This was handed out this past week on the LA Commuter Railroad.... There are many more deputies on the LAMTA Red Line Subway under downtown LA, and at LA Union Station (100 trains a day now)

I went into the city (NYC)last week to a seminar at Microsoft. Coincidently, it was on St. Patrick's Day. There were NY State troopers on the trains going in and coming out. At the M'soft building, I had to produce photo ID in order to gain access to the elevators. Either plainclothes or FBI in the lobby scrutinizing everyone. I showed 'em my CT Concealed Carry permit, because at heart, I'm a wiseass and wanted to see their reaction.

They just smiled as they handed it back.

Here near SF, similar trains run between Gilroy and downtown SF. Notably, there is a large station very nearby SF Int'l Airport, where BART interconnects and where a BART spur goes right into the heart of SFO. I sincerely hope that security at that station has been tightened dramatically. The potential number of inputs there is huge.
