"With the net result of abrogation of the crime; amnesty in fact."

My God, but you play word games and spin with the best of them.

Your convoluted logic would have me believe that abolishing the death penalty for murder, and instead replacing the mandatory punishment with life without parole, is in fact abrogating the crime.

Or that changing the sentencing guidelines for any crime in any manner which would reduce the penalty, is in fact abrogating.

You just don't like the proposed procedural changes, and now you're going to lie about it.

"For those illegals that apply, they are no longer illegal."

Those illegal aliens that apply, are fined, that's the penalty stage of the adjudication. Those who do not apply, are still here illegally. "Amnesty" would mean that all illegal aliens in the nation would have their legal status changed to legal, whether they applied or not, and without any penalty.

Nice try, but no brass ring.

Here's the bottom line, it's important to you to misrepresent what this plan is proposing by using emotionally loaded words that elicit the sort of response you want from others who are concerned about this issue, and who are easily swayed.

It's important because you want to do whatever is in your power to diminish support for Bush's re election.

If you were the least bit honest, you would state your critique of Bush's plans, not construct an obvious lie in order to misslead. The fact that you find it necessary to lie, missuse words, and apply to people's emotions in order to get your point across, makes me believe that you are in fact, a Democrat...all about "feeling", and not about logic.

You're digging yourself into a deeper hole than Saddam.

No matter how you dodge and weave, an illegal immigrant, subject to sanctions under the law will no longer be subject to sanctions under the law. They will still be illegal? Then that make the officials dealing with them guilty of misprision of the crime and legally culpable.

It's interesting to note that many more illegals are flooding the border in order to be here when those "sentencing guidelines are reduced". LOL.
