Republican Party has ignored its principles
The Greenville News ^ | March 26, 2004 | Robert G. Butch Taylor (letter to the editor)

In a recent letter to the president of the United States, I informed him of my resignation from the Republican Party in Greenville. I shall continue to be involved in the local political arena, but not as a Republican.

I am sick and tired of the Republicans selling us down the river. No matter how hard I try to institute positive change, Republicans and the Republican Party ignore my pleas. For this reason I have joined the U.S. Constitution Party and urge other conservatives to do the same.

If the millions of Mexicans in California today managed to take California from the US and annex it to Mexico, they would be heroes to Mexicans, and thiefs to Americans.

And you would Rejoice.

I'm a Communist? Well most of us know who the Communist is here. It's quite apparent that your 16 years of Marxist indoctrination in Fidel Castro's schools has had an everlasting effect on your then young impressionable mind.

How do I know that? Because you argue just like little Marxist right down to the silly name-calling and projections you throw around FR as a substitute for debate.

Also, I find it simply amazing how you can, on one hand, shill for every social spending program and new federal (market-disrupting) entitlement that Bush proposes then say the U.S. government should stay the heck out of regulating trade because it is inherently incompetent.

In your world does the federal government suddenly become competent when it concerns domestic spending programs, mandates and regulations?

"I challenge you to name FIVE things the Federal government does well."

Any more questions?

"...the worst choice is to give up your principles."

My principles tell me that I must do whatever I need to do in order not to let a liberal Democrat take command of our troops during times of war.

This year is to help elect Bush over Kerry.

What do yours tell you?

Absolutely no substance to your post.

Now, tell me how you wish the government to control the ability of private corporations to do business without turning our economic model into the communist model.

Other than insults, you got nothing.

I have a lot of problems with the way the Republican party operates myself. I am a conservative first, and then a Republican. I have been a conservative all my life and a Republican for twentyseven years.

The battle for our Republic and our culture is extradinarily frustrating, but then it is obvious it was going to be quite difficult to reverse the untold destruction caused by the Left to our country and our society, heck to all of western civilization. It is much like trying to put a Genie back into a bottle.

That said, those who think voting third party is going to yield greater success for conservatives and our lofty goals, are hopelessly and foolishly mistaken. Actually, in reality they are giving up on their principles rather than fighting for them, though I know they don't see it that way. It's easier to be a big fish in a little pond (third party) than to be a little fish in a big pond (Republican Party). Sadly, third party conservatives are only deluding themselves, and their delusions are extremely costly not only to the conservative cause, but also to the future of our country.

Agreed. That is the crux of the issue.

Might as well join the fray. I have my own issues with Bush and the Republicans, to be sure. This is the ONLY party I know of that can hold the majority in both Houses of Congress AND the WH and STILL can't get certain judicial nominees brought to the Senate floor for an up or down vote. They may be IN power but they don't HAVE power; the Dems are still in control of the show.

That aside, I am more afraid of the damage that the RAT candidate will do than Bush. I'm not convinced that Kerry will survive the convention, but I do know that whoever shows up in November to oppose Bush is NOT an American and NOT someone I want running this country.

No matter how you dodge and weave, an illegal immigrant, subject to sanctions under the law will no longer be subject to sanctions under the law. They will still be illegal? Then that make the officials dealing with them guilty of misprision of the crime and legally culpable.

It's interesting to note that many more illegals are flooding the border in order to be here when those "sentencing guidelines are reduced". LOL.

You mean they don't face the old consequences of their crime. You just dont like the new ones.

And the new "consequences" are. . .?

Ross Perot showed that a third party would deliver a victory .... for the Democrats. Your principles will get you the exact opposite of what you want. But then maybe you are a Socialist at heart.

Willie Green is member of a labor Union.

That means that he donates money to the Kerry campaign.

So, if you;re speeding and you get a fine, you weren't sanctioned under the law?

LOL!!

How desperate and shrill you're starting to sound, you've lost what little credibility you may have had at some point.

No, I can't read. Read me the consequences of being an illegal immigrant once he "applies" for the process to issue him permission to work in the US.

All I see is a vague speech.

Statement: "Republican Party has ignored its principles"

Response: What principles? No political party has had "Principles" since the American Civil War.

"Undocumented workers now here will be required to pay a one-time fee to register for the temporary worker program."

Selective blindness, you see what you want to see I guess.

That "fee" is a penalty, the old procedure would have the worker returned to his nation, where he would apply for legal entry.

I guess you're now going to argue that the fine attached to your speeding violation is not really a penalty.

By the way, let me stand on a ladder, and turn my hose on both your heads.

I guess you'll call that "raining", and not fault me for your being wet.

ROTFLMAO!!!
