I think that's a great idea if we can get specific reporter's e-mail addresses.

Also, although e-mail is good, so is a phone call.

And, I'd print off the e-mail and send a hard copy sometimes on the really important issues. I think hard mail still gets more attention and phone calls more attention still.

A phone call is a must for the first contact. Get through to the station and ask for the news desk, assignment editor, political editor, or the reporter. They will generally connect you. Then follow up with an email.
