News Advisory:

Punkvoter.com launches its first Rock Against Bush Tours! The tour line up includes NOFX, Alkaline Trio, Jello Biafra and Authority Zero. This tour begins Monday, March 29 in Seattle and tackles the Western States with more shows to follow. There will be large amounts of anti-Bush goodies available: shirts, free stickers, the anticipated Rock Against Bush Vol. I compilation; and with help from Music for America, there will be a massive voter registration blitz. The time for action is now and the Punk Voter Tour promises a cure for voter apathy!

The Cause:

Punkvoter.com has quickly gained national attention for uniting the punk community against the policies of the Bush Administration. Under the leadership of Fat Mike, Punkvoter.com has created a coalition of over 200 of the nation's largest punk rock musicians, dozens of record labels, and thousands of punk rock music fans. They have forced their issues onto the national political scene and mobilized young voters to take action. To join punkvoter.com visit their Web site at http://www.punkvoter.com.

The Bands:

NOFX is quite possibly the most successful and unrelenting band in the history of independent music. After two decades, few bands can match NOFX's longevity, but even fewer can top their entertaining live show. In a time where major labels and corporate rock further encroaches on the underground music scene, NOFX continues to deliver relevant music and demonstrate their own (and often-imitated) mastery of punk rock.

The Alkaline Trio are rapidly becoming the hottest punk band in the land with their broad appeal, dynamic dual vocalists, and high profile exposure that has their hits all over MTV and commercial radio. Described by some as emo, pop-punk, and even Goth.

Jello Biafra -- After fronting the illustrious Dead Kennedys from 1978 to 1986, Jello Biafra soldiered on with his widely acclaimed and controversial record label, Alternative Tentacles, and has been performing and releasing spoken word material; 8 spoken word albums in total. Always provocative, Jello is a legend not to be missed.

The Schedule:

3/29/04 Premier Seattle, WA - 3/30/04 Roseland Theater, Portland, OR - 3/31/04 McDonald Theater Eugene, OR - 4/1/04 UC Davis Recreation Hall Davis, CA - 4/3/04 Greek Theatre Berkeley, CA - 4/4/04 National Orange Show San Bernadino, CA - 4/6/04 UC Riverside LOT 30 Riverside, CA - 4/7/04 RIMAC Arena La Jolla, CA - 4/8/04 UCSB Events Center Santa Barbara, CA - 4/9/04 Stramler Complex Bakersfield, CA - 4/10/04 Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA - 4/12/04 Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium Santa Cruz, CA - 4/14/04 Bren Events Center Irvine, CA - 4/15/04 Rialto Theatre Tucson, AZ - 4/16/04 Arizona State University / SRC Field Tempe, AZ - 4/24/04 UNLV Intramural Field Las Vegas, NV

This is just the first of many Punk Voter tours to take place throughout America; other bands like Bouncing Souls, Avail, and Strike Anywhere also plan to Rock Against Bush in 2004.

This will certainly lock up the mouth-breather vote for Kerry.

Well, since Kerry's just so cool, I can see why they'd want him.
