Members of the D.C. Chapter had been peaceably assembled for two hours exercising their First Amendment rights with protest signs and their unaided voices. Apparently the litany of Democrat 'sins' grew too much for this officer to bear so he walked across the street to give a cease and desist order to the FReepers.

I suspect this guy let his neutrality slip away. On the whole, that's twice it's happened in about 300 protests that I can recall in DC. Not a bad average at all. Two bad apples in several thousand officers, those are extremely low negatives.

Was the other time in Nov. 03 when the FPS officer commanded us to leave the public sidewalk across from Constitution Hall during the FReep of Algore's MoveOn speech? We told him that the two Secret Service bike officers had said that we were fine about ten minutes before the FPS guy tried to get us to move. FPS guy said he would contact his superior, but was clearly mad that we stayed.
