I listened to C-SPAN this morning with Brian Lamb. Richard Cohen was the guest. A caller asked if there was more specific info on Kerry's purple hearts, i.e., the circumstances, the severity of the wounds, time in hospitial, etc. Cohen said he didn't know specifically, but Lamb interjected with a touch of annoyance, that all the details are in the Brinkley book. Cohen chimed in and agreed saying he read the book and most of the info about Kerry's war service was in the first chapter. Its too bad that this poorly-researched puff piece by Brinkley is cited as the authoritative source of bio info on Kerry.
We really need to get full disclosure of Kerry's service records and greater scrutiny of his antiwar activities and associations, e.g., VVAW, Jane Fonda, Ramsey Clark, etc. I am doing an analysis of his Financial Disclosure forms from 1995-2003. Some interesting stuff concerning investments in foreign firms and ownership of US stocks like Enron. Also Arnold Schwarzenegger and Clint Eastwood gave the Heinz-Kerrys wedding presents.

Of course that was exactly why it was written in the first place.
