I never knew any grunt that carried an M16 that way. Is there even a magazine in the well?

Clothes are too clean...not rotting off....skin isn't stained orange from the mud....maybe they did it differently in Riverine.

Hi.
I am a grunt (USMC 0311) and I never saw any grunt carry an M-16 that way either. In fact, as a swift boat officer, I don't know how aften he would have touched an M-16. I think he probably carried a .45.

What I find most weird is I don't see a strap on the rifle.

He's not even holding it.
His hand is closed and is obviously some distance in -front- of the rifle.
Either it's the worst 'shopping job I've ever seen or the rifle is stuck in the ground behind him, bayonet/barrel-first.
