Given that there was very little time for Camil do have done anything in the short time following the KC meeting, this FBI memo almost certainly indicates that they had gotten wind of this plot.

He up and died on May 2nd, 1972.

On June 17th, 1972, the FBI's attention was diverted to Watergate.
