I am a Catholic, and I just found out from another Freeper that the Catholic Church denies communion to staunchly pro-life, decent, honorable, and devoted married Catholics if they did not get married in a Catholic ceremony. I had never heard that before (I knew that the Church didn't recognize the marriage as a Catholic marriage, but I had no idea it was a mortal sin, and I'm sure neither did millions of other Catholics!). John alQerry, a pro-abortion libertine, can receive communion but an anti-abortion, faithful husband or wife cannot if they just happened not to have been married in a Catholic ceremony. Can someone confirm this?
