The point of course, is not to imply a connection between Senator Kerry and Joseph Remiro or the SLA. The point is that the VVAW was demonstrably capable, in the leftist, anti-war environment of the early 1970s, of attracting Vietnam Veterans and radicalizing them to such a degree that they would be willing to carry out political assassinations on American soil.

Could there be a connection with the "esteemed" Senator from Massachusetts?

Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

Thanks for the post - but - as a key leader in VVAW, Effing IS connected to these radical killers. He also failed to display his epic heroism by reporting the sedition he was privy to.

Thanks so much for the research. Bookmarked for future reference.
John Kerry's Vietnam-era agitation keeps emerging. Each new revelation should give more and more people pause when voting time comes.
The latest is just downright shocking!
John Kerry attended a radical anti-war meeting in 1971 where the murder of 6 or 7 US Senators was proposed, though shot down (Kerry voted 'NO'). LINK

And what about all the bombings in the country that were going on that yours truly was on the receiving end of. Trust me, there were a lot of them

The VVAW were bad news. The socialists on the faculty of my high school thought it would be a good idea to have one of them come in to talk us out of registering for selective service back in '80.
I'll never forget that guy, he was the total caricature of the strung out Viet Vet. Fortunately, I knew several other veterans so I knew they weren't all like that...

Great digging! At the very least it shows the kind of people who were attracted to this organization.
And after all, we're talking about a very small group. At the most they had around 1,000 members. But most of the time it was more like just three or four hundred or so.

What should really give pause is the grudginhg and dishonest fashion Kerry deals with the shadier aspects of his past. He only seems to forget the bad stuff.

well. I think there still a lot of hidden history there somewhere. Something worse than an assassination plot. The guy is bad news.

Thanks. What intrigues me is Hassna's description of an organization ready to burst like a spore pod of seditious fungus as the Vietnam War wound down. Kerry ended up as a Kennedy-in-training, Senatorial gigolo, but what about the non-Brahmins? I still haven't learned whether the Stennis shooters were ever apprehended.
