"How could he have been so stupid to think this wouldn't come out?"
Because he knows the mainstream media hate Bush, and if only Fox or Rush report it, the public will never know. But right now, CBS has a clear moral and journalistic duty to report this.

I hope that every member of the Commission gets a copy of that transcript at the break before Clarke testifies.

You raise a good point that I've been chewing on for the last few days...*we* all know about mainstream media bias, but how does one get info about mainstream media bias out to Mr. and Mrs. Average Not-Very-Interested Voter who get their news from the mainstream media?
Well, we'll find out once and for all what CBS is made of this week. I'm not holding my breath.

Look at this part of the press interview with Clarke:
QUESTION: Were all of those issues part of alleged plan that was late December and the Clinton team decided not to pursue because it was too close to ...
CLARKE: There was never a plan, Andrea. What there was was these two things: One, a description of the existing strategy, which included a description of the threat. And two, those things which had been looked at over the course of two years, and which were still on the table.
Who was this Andrea in the meeting with the press. Could it be our much beloved, Andrea (Greenspan) Mitchell of NBC News. Surely not. She surely would have recalled this praise of the Bush Administration and revealed it on Imus or on Brokaw, Right.

This will vanish down the memory hole, and the sheep will never know.

Clear something up for me...can't
Clarke keep ranting on about one
thing?...that Bush diverted from
al-Qaeda to Saddam at some point?
Based on Bush asking Clarke after
9-11 to "find out if Iraq did it",
and then the later attack on Iraq.
Note this briefing only deals with
pre-9/11.
Or is it just deadly to Clarke's
credibility, so he's shown a liar?
