I think the last person convicted of lying to Congress was Adm. John Poindexter (Reagan admin., Iran-Contra thing).

Must be the twentieth time someone says this, but didn't these idiots ever hear of Lexus-Nexus and Google??The days of having to sift microfiche in the basement of the NYTimes are long over. See Tagline:

...but you, and I mean you personally, wreck the credibility you have earned with the regular posters around here when you cease digging. LMAO. "John Galt" questioning the credibility of a poster? I've got news for you "John." There are, perhaps, six Freepers who believe you to have any credibility at all. Speaking of digging, "Galt" is the guy who thinks that the way to respond to potential terrorist attacks on our nation is to gather lots of farmers with shovels. And speaking of shovels, "Galt" is like the guy who offers to come help you dig a hole in your back yard, but when he gets there can only talk about how you could have bought a cheaper shovel somewhere else. Far from having any credibility, "Galt" has been a drain on this group for a long time now. And that's the reason I pinged Jim R. Jim, I read what you wrote the other day about the vision you have for what you've created. I wish you would review the record of "Galt" and consider whether or not he shares it.

PLEASE, FOX, PLEASE RUN THIS INTERVIEW OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL THE SHEEPLE HEAR THE TRUTH! Yes, run with the story all day. Most important it makes them look like the only source for news and the other media outlets look like mouth pieces for the DNC.

I always feel so dirty after going over there, but finding a nugget like that makes it worth it.

Remember when we launched the attack in Afghanistan? The naysayers were saying we were going to get bogged down in a quagmire and we would take a lot of casualties.Yes, I remember. I would expect that a few of those who now say that the President should have bombed earlier are the same ones who predicted a quagmire.

I think everyone should be asking why the members of the commission are reading from the Clarke book.

I have it on good authority that Jason Blair was Clarke's ghostwritter.

The exact date from another article...
Contrary to Dick Clarke's assertion that he did not brief senior officials until April 30, the first meeting of Deputies was held on March 7, and Dick Clarke briefed the group on al-Qa'ida. Deputies agreed that a National Security Policy Directive on al-Qa'ida should be prepared.

Ah yes, now he's quoting Woodward as saying "I didn't
feel a great sense of urgency".
Just like he didn't "feel" any knowledge of Al Qaeda in Condi's facial expression. Too bad we have her ON TAPE on October 2000 saying that IF BUSH WERE ELECTED, he'd make Al Qaeda his top priority.
This is so freakin' pathetic, and through their control of the media they're actually giving it legs! It's f'ing outrageous.
