I'm losing sympathy for these families. We all lose loved ones. We don't all get millions of dollars because of it. But we all have to get over it.

Exactly.

The sister of a very close friend was killed in the embassy bombing in Kenya. She was an accomplished doctor and researcher as is her husband. She was not embassy personel, she was attached to a CDC group, her project was developing a vacine for malaria. She had stopped by the embassy to collect their mail, 10 minutes earlier or later and she would have been spared. There is no way to measure to what extent her considerable skills and abilities might have contributed to the world.

She left behind a grieving husbamd and the 3 siblings they had adopted in Atlanta shortly before accepting the post in Kenya. The children were from a very abusive home and had just begun to trust again. No one paid millions to any of them.... just the opposite, in fact, the family established a scholarship fund in her memory for young girls in Kenya. They still miss her terribly but they've gotten on with their lives as she would have wanted them to do.
